WFRS previously highlighted at Corporate Board risks associated with the current Day Crewing Plus shift system in place in three Stations and put forward proposals to mitigate these risks. Risks had been highlighted during the legal challenge South Yorkshire FRS faced on a similar shift system. Corporate Board agreed with the principle of the proposals but stipulated that WFRS should go through formal consultation, union response and report back.
